Day 2: Animal Kingdom

2 Aug

For our second day in the parks, we headed to Animal Kingdom. We started off the day with the safari trek which was awesome! We even had a giraffe get up close and personal with our jeep.

The girls had a great time seeing all the animals. Even the adults were impressed. It was a little overcast but that was okay. Kerry had been watching the weather and it looked like we were going to get a big storm so we headed over to Yak and Yeti for lunch. We were quickly seated at a table and then the monsoon started. Luckily, we beat the crowd! And we had an awesome lunch. It was the best meal we had all week. We still talk about the yummy food!

I think one of the highlights for Miss H was playing the drums.

One of the highlights for me was seeing them dance 🙂

Of course, we saw a princess too!

Day 1: Epcot

4 Jun

02022015-5We flew into Orlando on Saturday morning, got our rental car (minivan! more on this later), checked into the condo (probably should exclamation point this too!) and then headed to Downtown Disney to get all situated and get some food. We ate at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurants and both kids determined it was the best macaroni and cheese ever. We called Saturday a win for everything running smoothly and got some rest for our first day in the parks.

We started off at Epcot- it was Superbowl Sunday and it was really quite. We got totally spoiled by the lack of people, lines and the appearance of characters and princesses on every corner. The weather was fantastic too!

Miss H loved the princesses.

Kerry enjoyed the antics took.

It was a very successful first day and we all enjoyed ourselves. We did laugh when the kids declared it was time to ‘go back to the minivan’ and find more macaroni and cheese.
