Taekwondo begins

29 Jun

Miss H has been asking to take ‘karate’ for the last couple months and we started her in a class a few weeks ago. She loves it! At first, even though she had been asking to go, she decided that she was not really that interested. We convinced her to go to the first class and now, it might be the highlight of the week.

She got earned her first belt on Wednesday.

It was a huge deal (and very serious) with the belt, a speech from the teacher, a round of applause of the other students and a certificate.

She is excited to ‘get all the belts!’

Before we left Pennsylvania, we headed to Indian Echo Caverns since it was only a few miles away. The caverns are pretty cool (and a cool 52 degrees all year long) and Miss H was impressed with all the rock formations.

06162014-6We had a really good tour guide and even got to experience complete and total darkness when we were deep inside the cave.

Miss H thought it was cool when the guide talked about rocks growing and forming underground.
