Sailing on the Never Seas

28 Jul

07282013-1We went to Annapolis today for a sail on the Sea Gypsy, the pirate ship that leaves out of Eastport. We had been meaning to do this for some time and this weekend happened to work out just right. Luckily, we saw no rain!

We arrived in time for face painting (or tattoos) and getting ready to sail. Miss H did not want to dress-up but she did enjoy her tattoos. She got a dolphin and a hello kitty pirate.

We all boarded the ship and the fun began! The crew was great with the kids and entertained them with their antics.

The highlight for Miss H was the water cannon.

Look closely and you will see ‘Pirate Pete’ approaching in his dinghy.

Poor Pirate Pete.

They found treasure too!

And, Miss H found a friend to compare loot with.

I think they all made out pretty well.

She perfected her ‘AAAAARGGGGHHHHHH!’

If you are in Annapolis, it is definitely a fun thing to do. I am sure we will be back again.

After the cruise, we were hungry so we headed to Davis’ Pub for a great lunch. I think they have one of the best crab cakes in Annapolis! Miss H found the perfect lunch too.
