Planning a move is a lot of work

10 Jul

Kerry and I both started making a list of things we need to and a want to do list for the move to the new house. And, it is getting long.

1. Book movers. DONE

2. Book our favorite painter. DONE

3. Schedule cable and internet install. IN PROCESS

4. Schedule alarm system install. DEPENDENT ON ABOVE

5. Buy living room rug. WAY TOO MANY CHOICES

6. Pick paint for living room and dining room. DEPENDENT ON ABOVE

7. Pick paint for Miss H’s room. She wants it to be ‘barina pink’ (translate to ballerina pink).

8. Buy a rug for Miss H’s room that will look nice with a ballerina pink room.

9. Pick a paint for our new room. WAY TOO MANY CHOICES

10. Pick out new furniture for our room. WAY TOO MANY CHOICES

11. Buy a riding lawn mower. This is on Kerry’s must list.

12. Complete inspection, appraisal and all the paperwork for mortgage. WILL BE COMPLETE BY FRIDAY.

13. Pack up our entire house. OVERWHELMING

14. Put our house on market. PENDING MOVING TO NEW HOUSE.

15. Let it sink in that we finally found a house and are moving in a month. IN PROCESS.

By tomorrow, this list will probably have 50 more items.

Here is a preview of our new digs. Kitchen is actually bigger than it appears in photo, plus there is an area for a table and pantry. So excited!

Yay, yay, yay!! I remember those days. And I’m sure that moving with a child is even more tiring and complicated. So happy for you guys! Can’t wait to see your new place.
