A Busy Week

3 Jun

Kerry ended up having surgery again on Wednesday to hopefully fix another ongoing issue with his back. Poor guy has had two major surgeries in less than eight weeks! This time we were at Inova Fairfax- all went well with surgery but then they were out of rooms so Kerry spent the majority of Wednesday being cared for in recovery. They finally moved him around 10pm to his own room but he was rudely awoken by all the construction noises early the next morning. I guess the saying about the hospital being where you get no sleep is true!

He is on the mend and moving around pretty well considering what he has been through.

My 20th high school reunion (how is that even possible!) was this weekend and it was nice to catch up with everyone at the dinner on Saturday.

Mom came up to watch over Kerry and Miss H so I could spend time with friends who had arrived from all over the country.

It always amazes me that when we get together, no matter how many years it had been since we last saw each other, that we just pick up right where we left off.

Luckily, we still can be goofy.

And, campus had certainly changed since we were there. They have turf fields, a new academic center, a huge fitness center plus all the the girls have iPads, laptops and cell phones. Most importantly- they have good food 🙂

Mom took great care of my household and Miss H is still talking about the great ravioli dinner she made.

Today, Kerry is doing much better and we are hoping every day is an improvement. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Poor Kerry! He is such a trooper.

My 20th HS reunion is this summer, too! How is that possible?
