Kerry turns the big 4-0 today 🙂
We laughed over dinner on Saturday about us barely being in our 30s when we met. Now, all these years later, he has completed a decade. And, for the first time we are in different decades!
Today is extra special because Kerry shares a birthday with his Dad.
So, what was happening 40 years ago…..
May 1st was a Monday. His dad turned 29.
Tim McGraw was born May 1st, just a few years earlier.
Kerry shares a birthday with Benjamin Latrobe (he designed the US Capitol and was born many years before 1972).
J. Edgar Hoover died on the 2nd.
The Rangers won the Cup Winner’s Cup.
The space shuttle program started.
HBO had its first subscription service.
The digital watch hit the markets.
Atari’s PONG was the height of technology.
And, the Volkswagen Beetle became the most popular car ever.
