We had a fun day on Saturday, but Kerry came down with the icks on Sunday. Hadley and I felt very bad for him and she was very concerned that he was going to ‘burp.’ No burping but a general case of the ickiness. To give him some quiet, Miss H and I went shoe shopping, made a trip to Target and the grocery store. Miss H is now the proud owner of new tennis shoes, a pair of Hello Kitty mary janes and some new princess flip flops. I think she tried on every shoe in the store. She is very particular about her clothing and the way it feels. It was pretty funny to watch her check herself out in the mirrors and make a lap around the store to determine if they comfortable. Many shoes were deemed ‘too heavy.’ Is the shoe thing genetic in girls? Fancy, huh?
On Saturday, we went out to lunch with Mom. Miss H announced to the whole restaurant that she used the potty. And, let everyone know that the towels ‘come out like magic’ (aka- automatic paper towel machine). It is moments like this that I appreciate living in a large metropolitan area because no one knew who we were in that restaurant. Also, I could tell who the parents were just by the looks and giggles.
Miss H has been entertaining us with her musical abilities. I somewhat regret buying these, especially when she plays three at a time. Kerry definitely did not appreciate it when he did not feel well.
I think my biggest accomplishment last week was getting her 3rd birthday invitations in the mail! If everyone is able to come, we are going to have 17 kids (plus their parents) at the pizza party! Also, Leigh is helping with gift bags and stickers. It should be a fun time and Miss H is going to be thrilled.
