As you know, the transition to the toddler bed was not an easy one for us but after several weeks, Miss H realized the crib was never coming back. Now, she has decided it is much better to create her own little nest and sleep on the floor. Kerry got a picture.
After laughing with many friends over the strange sleep habits of toddlers, we have learned this is perfectly normal.
And, she is sleeping and that is truly all we care about
She is quite the nest builder…
We had the same problem with Indie when we got rid of her crib. She has never really liked the toddler bed. At first she wanted back in her crib, so we put up her pack ‘n play, and she simply climbs in and out of it as she pleases. But we stumbled on the real solution when she fell asleep at her grandmother’s house in the “big bed”- a queen sized bed. So now we have a queen sized bed in her room, with one side pushed up against a wall, and she seems to really like it. Maybe she feels more secure because off the size? I never would have though to go from a crib to a HUGE bed, but it has worked….And I figure when she gets older, it’ll work well for friend sleepovers.
