I originally wrote about this on Saturday but realized my post never posted!
It was beautiful here on Friday and Kerry called to let me know he was leaving work early to wash his car. I arrived home a little earlier than normal and he was still in the driveway. My first questions was, ‘where is Miss H?’ and he said she had evening plans. Totally confused at this point- he revealed that we had dinner reservations and he had arranged for a sitter.
Off we went to walk around Old Town Alexandria, enjoy the nice weather and have a lovely dinner (and cheesecake) at The Chart House. We had a great table near the window and really just enjoyed a leisurely meal.
We even ended the evening with a stop at Babies R Us for some new sippy cups 🙂
Miss H was a little sad when we picked her up way past her normal bedtime because she was having such a fantastic evening with her friends. She reluctantly decided it was time to go home.
