Happy New Year!

31 Dec

Our big plans for the evening include a nice spaghetti and meatball dinner plus either a movie or football. Kerry is campaigning for football and he seems to have control of the remote. I can guarantee we will not see anywhere close to midnight. Oh my, how life has changed.

In my attempt to make us eat healthier, I made this recipe from SkinnyTaste.com and they were delicious. Even Kerry did not complain.

Our entire day has not been quiet and about watching football. Miss H had a playdate this morning and had a great time. Her friend had two guniea pigs and the excitement of feeding them carrots was almost overwhelming. The shrieking, clapping and giggling was very funny and of course, I forgot the camera. Us moms thought they would enjoy playing with the new kid kitchen but it was the guinea pigs, clementines and bath toys that kept them occupied. When it was time to go- both of them had full on meltdowns about the prospect of not playing together anymore. I guess next weekend is too long to wait to hang out again!

After all that drama was over, Miss H did have some fun with my shoes. Do these go with my outfit?

Hope you all have a wonderful start to the new year!

All About Sleep

27 Dec

It is time to move Miss H from her crib into a new toddler bed. It stresses me out because her sleep is so consistently good that I don’t want to mess it up. I can’t even remember what it was like when she use to wake up at 3am because it was sooooooooooooo long ago. I can only recall 2 or 3 times in the last 16 months where she has woken us up in the middle of the night. She is a great sleeper and she loves her crib. She usually lets us know when she is ready for bed and willingly marches back to her room. There is no fight, no tears and we are so spoiled by it.

Today, Kerry put together the new bed in the living room while Miss H took her nap. Once she woke up, we put the mattress in to let her explore her new bed. She added the toys and blankets and made herself at home.

It took her about two seconds to figure out how easy it was to get in and out. Wish us luck!

Speaking of sleep, Kerry caught me napping and Miss H was trying to both share her milk and cookie.
