Yesterday was my birthday and I had a great day! Kerry got me a really nice camera plus the bag and a tripod. I guess the days of balancing our camera on books and magazines to get a family picture are over 🙂 I am still trying to get through the manual- but I did have fun taking some pictures yesterday. Plus, when he was out ‘running errands’ yesterday morning he managed to pick up a pink box of cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake. So yummy!
Kerry picked a great selection- chocolate ganache, coconut, chocolate birthday, vanilla birthday, red velvet and vanilla. Amazingly, there are still a few left but the ones we have eaten have been delicious. (I used the ‘food’ scene from the new camera)
Hadley and I went to My Gym yesterday morning and she almost fell asleep before we could get out of the building. All the excitement of running around, new friends and a trampoline were exhausting. She slept in the car and did not even wake up as I carried her to her room. After her long nap, we headed to a friend’s house to watch the World Cup game between U.S. and England. Miss H was fascinated with the two cats but they were not so amused with her. They hid under the bed and lucky for them- H was unable to squeeze herself under there (she tried very, very hard). I am sure the cats were happy when we left!
We ended my birthday with a nice Italian dinner and a movie 🙂
I got a nice new bag and earring from Mom, a beautiful necklace and earring from Dad and Kathy and Kerry’s dad sent me some money to spend on myself. Even my work gave me a really nice gift (technically I don’t think they realized it was my birthday) but it was really nice!
I feel so spoiled today! Thanks to Kerry for making it a great weekend!
