A few days ago, I went to the American News Women’s Club for their annual dinner honoring a person who has made a difference in the news business. This year it was Eleanor Clift from Newsweeks and the McLaughlin Group and she was funny, humbled and it was great to hear her story. Also, I got to meet Helen Thomas, Judy Woodruff, Candy Crowley and many other Washington journalists- including ones that work at my own company. We laughed at our table about meeting at the Press Club instead of meeting in our own building. Besides the award given to Eleanor CLift, three scholarships were given to local journalism students- it was nice to meet them and hear about their aspirations.
And, I was home before 10pm 😉
