The holiday decorations are down

We took down all the Christmas decorations last night and the living room looks a little sad. December is one of my favorite times a year- not for the cold but for all the fun and festive decoration because they seem to brighten an otherwise dreary month. Now, we really enter into the dark, dreary cold time. January is going to be busy for us with work (a new Congress starts on Monday and that greatly impacts my job), the inauguration (impacting Kerry’s job), friends in town this weekend, a baby shower and just the normal everyday things. As for New Year’s Eve- we are just having a nice dinner with a few friends and enjoying the four day weekend. We hope you all have a wonderful day and we wish you the best for 2009!
