Kerry and I feel like such adults today- we set up a 529 College Savings Plan and are figuring out how much life insurance we need. There was a lot of discussion at the office today about the cost of daycare, kids in general, housing and eventually it turned to the price of college. According to this calculator, the average cost of in-state tuition in 18 years will be $43,076. A four-year private college is projected to be $85,132. WOW! So we are starting to save now and Kerry is hoping she will get a full scholarship so then he can take the money out of the fund and use it to finance his ‘golf pro’ tuition. Or, buy a sports car.
